Season of Giving

This holiday season many of our Taziki’s locations across the country have embraced the ‘Season of Giving’ by partnering with various organizations to give back. At Taziki’s we believe that no one can help everyone, but everyone can help someone. We pull this inspiration from our core ethos of Eudaimonia, which means ‘human flourishing’ and we express that through giving. Here’s how a few of our stores are making an impact.

NASHVILLE, TN: You might be familiar with the incredible organization Make A Wish, a non-profit organization that creates life-changing wishes for children with a critical illness. Our Taziki’s Nashville locations jumped on a unique opportunity to partner with their Middle Tennessee branch this holiday season. For the month of October, everyone who dined in one of the nine Nashville Taziki’s locations was asked if they would like to add $1 to their bill. If they agreed, they got to add their name to a blue star.

“We were inspired by the mission of this incredible organization, so we knew it was a great fit for us to help out,” said Lindsay Curtis, Nashville Local Store Marketer. By the end of the month, the Nashville market had raised $4,300 total that went to helping a wish come true! The Nashville Taziki’s team threw a send off party for Arlie, a Leukemia fighter whose wish to swim with dolphins in Hawaii. Arlie’s dream came true thanks to the amazing Nashville community!

RICHMOND, VA: Our Taziki’s Richmond partnered with the Down Syndrome Association of Richmond. All of the Richmond locations have a coin box set up at their registers to help raise money. This organization is special to this market, because two of their very own HOPE employees are also members of this organization.

DALLAS, TX:  Our Taziki’s Plano and Southlake locations are collecting canned goods to help stock their local Community Enrichment Center’s pantry. This organization strives to cultivate a more vibrant and economically sustainable community in Tarrant County. They aim to do so by providing multi-staged support for homeless and low-income individuals and families, as well as victims of domestic violence.

DOTHAN, AL: Our Taziki’s Dothan location has partnered with Toys for Tots this holiday season by being an official drop off spot for toys. All of the toys collected will be distributed by the Marine Corps Reserve before Christmas to families that wouldn’t have been able to have a Christmas otherwise.

LEXINGTON, KY: Taziki’s Lexington (on Southland Drive) is participating in the Southland Neighborhood Association’s annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony. This event serves as a moment for the community to come out and celebrate the start of the holiday season together. Since opening in 2016, Taziki’s Lexington has participated in the tree lighting by donating food to show how much they appreciate the community. This year Taziki’s Lexington will be baking our chocolate chip cookies and handing them out for all to try. Being involved in the neighborhood association has brought wonderful opportunities and Taziki’s plans to always give back in the coming years.

Feeling inspired yet? We are grateful to all of our local owners and operators for their support of organizations just like the few listed above by giving a reason for the season. Taziki’s thanks our loyal community patrons who give us their business throughout the year and making all of these things possible.
